Inspect your order IMMEDIATELY. If you or your applicator are concerned about the condition of the graphics, please call 888-388-3221, do not attempt to apply. We will need to inspect the graphics before we could replace them.
Store graphics flat. Do not leave graphics in the box until the application.
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING GRAPHICS
Paint curing. Freshly painted surfaces must be dried at least one week prior to application. Insufficient curing will cause bubbling of applied graphics. For specific technical information on specific paints, call your body shop or refer to the paint's specifications.
Washing the vehicle. Do not wash the vehicle for 24 hours prior to the application. Water can remain in seams of the body, causing adhesion problems.
Temperature Requirements
Air and application surface temperatures must be 60 ° or above for graphics to adhere properly
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be considered contaminated and must be cleaned prior to application. Cleaning must be done according to these instructions! Saturate a clean cloth with a petroleum distillate-based cleaner such as DuPont Prep-Sol Cleaner 3919S or Sherwin Williams R7-K156 Sher-Will-Clean and wipe the surface. Dry the surface with a lint-free cloth before the solvent. evaporates. Any of the following solvents may be used, however they should be tested first since they may dull some painted surfaces: Xylol, lacquer thinner, VM &P Naptha or 3M Adhesive Cleaner. Dry the surface before solvent evaporation. 3M technical guidelines DO NOT support the use of any other products.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Hinge Method.

Use 1" - 2" (2.5 - 5cm) strips of masking tape to position marking in proper registry. |

Apply horizontal tape hinge at the top of the marking. |

Remove liner entirely and allow marking to drape. Using firm initial squeegee pressure, begin at top center and work down and outward to each edge of mask. |

Remove premask at 180° (pull back on itself).
Resqueegee entire marking |
Large Prespaced Markings.
Caution: When applying prespaced letters and numbers, the entire prespacing tape must be squeegeed onto surface to avoid wrinkles and misalignment of the marking beneath.

Align legend on application surface and tape into position using top horizontal hinge method. |

Cut between each letter or number so that each is independently hinged from top.
Remove liner, then requeegee letter or number into place using firm pressure.
Follow above procedure for each remaining letter. |
Large Markings.

Tape marking into position with small pieces of masking tape. |

Apply 2" or 3" (5.1 -7.7cm) tape over top edge to serve as a hinge. |
Cut through tape hinge at both edges to facilitate the next step. |

Raise marking up over top hinge and peel the liner back a few inches at a time while squeegeeing marking to surface with firm, overlapping strokes with beginning at top center and working down and toward each edge. |
Hold marking away from surface with one hand and allow adhesive to touch only as pressure is applied. |
